First Time Doing Laundry - August 30th, 2014

Hola mi familia y amigos!!

This week has been filled with many great things! It has also made me so grateful for my mom!! I know this is pretty sad, but today was the first time I've ever did laundry.. in my whole life!! haha it was great and way easier than i expected but my mom is the best and has done it my whole life so today was the first for that!! This week has been so great and in my district, we have all been getting so close(12 of us)!!  We have had some pretty funny times!! Time has been flying by here and the Spanish is super hard! One day i will think i know it, and the next it's hard to hear what they are saying and I can't even make up a sentence to say back to them! The Spanish is one thing, but the spirit is always so strong here! We have classes pretty much all day (9) hours!! We have three on our own, and the rest with 2 teachers that split up the time! They always talk like we will be ready by 6 weeks to be able to go down to Mexico and know it perfect... Not sure how much I believe that one!:) ha

I forgot to tell you last week, but Ky Webb.. the one i always lost to in wrestling... Yah hes in my district!! He always gives me a hard time about losing to him! He was always happy to see me when was gonna wrestle.. so lame!  It's all good! I just say he cheated to win! ha he's a good friend though! My comp is getting better. I'm learning to be way patient, and praying a lot for him! My teacher told me that it might seem that we are just put together randomly, but the lord knows what he is doing, and i was suppose to be with him for some reason! ha I'm just hoping that next lesson we teach to the investigator he will actually talk! It will be good though! i know he can do it!! The teachers all see that he is struggling and so they are trying to help me, to help him cause im his comp! I'm getting super close with some of the other elders though! some that i wouldn't normally talk to back home, but they really do have a special spirit around them and its great! ha tomorrow is the day that I might have to talk in sacrament meeting!! so if i have to I will let you know!!

I wish i could tell you something crazy that happened here, but it is the MTC or (CCM we call it here) and we do the same thing every single day! ha we wake up, eat, class, gym time, eat, class, eat, and class again then bed.. same thing over and over again with a couple other things in there day to day! ha its pretty awesome that Jake, chance, and I are all right here!! i get to see them both every day and talk to them!! I love the dearelder thing!! its great! We better use it while we can, because when i get to Tampico i bet i wont be able to that often as i can now! i hear we get over an hour to email in our real missions, so that will be super nice to talk to you all more! The MTC seems like it would last forever when you get here, but elder trost and I were talking and we were in awe how fast time is going!! Missing a ton.. but wouldn't want to be any other place then here! Love you all so much!! Its great hearing from you all!

Sweet Kylund

Kylund was so sweet and had flowers sent to our home with a cute note. He also left post-it notes around our home to different family members! He is so thoughtful...we love and miss him!!

First Email - August 23rd, 2014

Hey everyone!!

So the first couple days have been good but kinda weird to adjust! The first day was super hard, but its been adjusting quickly and now I'm loving it here! The Spanish is coming along quickly but we are just going over the basics so the two years i had in high school have been paying off! The spirit is super strong is so its great! ha and also the gift of tongues is so real! i would not be doing this well without it. I bet money though once i get to Mexico i will struggle big time! I know i will... but I'm already to leave this place. My comp is different, but i'm working with him and hes adjusting well to the "athletic" group! ha hes a great guy! His name is Elder Durrant!

We eat at 4:30 for dinner.. so by the end of the night im starving!! It would be so awesome if you sent me some candy and also some more nike socks because we have free time/gym time everyday! Also.. the Dearelder is the best thing ever!! we get them everyday so if you sent letters on those, i would get them also everyday so we could talk a couple times a week if you would like! ha it just takes like 2 days for mine to get to yours! I messed up on my last one and forgot to put a stamp.. so i will have to resend it once i get it back! haha

So our P-day is Saturday which i love! we go to the temple around 8:30 or 9(tell Mackenzie)!!! and we email around this time every Saturday! Jake is in my zone! It is awesome! Tell people to email me or write me letters! i love this gospel and am so glad i get to serve the lord for the next two years! We watched a video and it talked about how hard it is but we are blessed for doing so and we need not to worry about our family because the lord will watch over them! It was just what i need and knowing that you are in the lords hands makes me happy! i love you guys so much and hope that your trip was great!! tell me all about it! Hopefully not to much fun without me!! So these last 3 days have been great! i love you guys!!
