Hola mi familia y amigos!!
We got our TRAVEL PLANS!!!!!!!! I'm so excited!! We fly out at 10 a.m. on Monday morning! We have to leave the MTC at 4:35. It’s super early but I'm so excited to get out of this place! This week has been crazy and I'm not sure why! Even though it was super crazy it was good!
On Tuesday we went to our Tuesday night devotional, and guess who decided to show up?? Richard G Scott! He had an amazing talk about prayer and how it’s important to us because we get to talk to our Heavenly Father and it shouldn't be something that we just go through! We should pray with all of our heart! I totally agree! Being on my mission has helped me so much come closer to my Heavenly Father! Pray is essential to come closer to him! I guess we are gonna get another general authority on Tuesday night again so that will be super awesome! I will tell you all about it on my next P-day!
On Wednesday we were able to be hosts for all the new missionaries that came in! 161 to the west campus! It was awesome to see and reflect on how much I've grown in the month that I've been here! I was able to host this kid from Rexburg that i played ball with so that was good, and hopefully comforting to him! The rest of the week flew by! We taught our TRC investigator and it was amazing! He wanted my companion to teach the whole thing!! I helped my comp prepare and he killled it! By the end of it you could see that he had a ton more confidence! Ever since that experience he’s been helping out in the lessons!! It was a huge testimony builder for himself and me also! For him, knowing that he can do it!! For me, that hard work really does pay off and without the Lord I wouldn't have been able to do it!
So since today was P-day, we went to the temple, and came back early because the buses were shutting down since BYU has a football game today!! We came back and went to Brigham landing! There was this burger place and other shops so we ate at the burger place and also went to Jamba juice! It was super good! ha I miss that kind of food. Well it doesn’t help that this food isn't great! We only have a week left and i hear the last week in the MTC is the best because they start to just be spiritual and not worry about the Spanish as much!! so that will be awesome!
So tomorrow is Sunday and I've been asked to say the opening prayer... in Spanish.. so that will be good! I'm kinda excited for it! Elder Trost and I are also saying the sacrament prayers! Just like old times!!:) ha so if I have to give a talk also! That would just be crazy! I would steal the show! I'm so grateful for the wonderful opportunity that i have to serve the lord and teach people about the wonderful gospel!

September 13th, 2014 Slow Days - Fast Weeks
Hola,
One of the main sayings here at the MTC is.. the days are slow.. but the weeks are super fast!! Its so true! This week was actually a little more exciting then the last ones!! On Wednesday we went to the Mexican consulate in Salt Lake City! We traveled by train so it was kind of exciting since i have never been on a train before! We had to walk a little bit in the city and the people in SLC are either super nice or kinda mean and hate us! We went into the gas station and there was about 20 of us and a guy offered to buy us all drinks!! He was so nice! Such a great guy! Also my comp has a little bit of a staring problem.. he was staring right at a guy that was opening his can of chew.. and the guy asked him.." You want a dip"! My comp said no.. and walked away!! I died laughing and told him that he needed to work on his little problem! My comp is getting better! I finally see that he is wanting to improve and get better at the language.
Here in the MTC you teach investigators(members that act fake) but ours is a super great guy and is so easy to love!! Its amazing how fast you love your investigators! On our second lesson.. We got him to commit to baptism! it was so awesome! we were the first ones out of our district to ever get someone to be baptized. Everyone thought we could never do it.. but we did!:) ha teaching makes me want to get in the field that much more! Whenever I'm teaching to the needs of the investigator(which i try to do every time) i feel the spirit so strongly! I love this gospel and can't wait to get to Tampico and teach the people there! We have 2 weeks from Monday!! Mom i will be home before you know it!!
My comp and I have also been made the coordinators of the sacrament!! Super easy but kinda fun also! So we get to pick people to bless and pass the sacrament! We are gonna bless it next week! i have to get my comp ready for it so we don't have to say it a million times! i love serving the lord and am so blessed with the best family ever! love you guys!

MTC Life
Hola!!!
This week has been pretty great! Time is starting to fly by here at the MTC! Even though time is going by fast, my Spanish isn't seeming to get any better! Its so hard! ha but i know if i keep working hard and be obedient then it will eventually come to me! ha not to much happened this week at the MTC. Its the same stuff every week!
One of the funny things that happened this week was today! we do our laundry in the morning.... i woke up 4:50!! ha anyways we went and put our laundry in and were gonna come take a nap before we had to go to service and when we got back we were locked out! So we had to find a way in! we walked around to the back and i lifted my companion up to this window and he managed to get his way in after a couple minutes.. it was a little bit of a workout! i think i had my hands over my head for a couple minutes holding up as he was working on getting in! ha
My comp is getting better slowly. We had to talk for a couple nights in a row because he wouldn't even talk to me or anything, so i told him if he wouldn't start talking then i was gonna go meet with the branch president! I told him if you cant talk on your mission your gonna have a rough time and your wasting the Lords time! ha I was patient with him for 2 weeks and nothing changed, so i turned things up a little and its worked a little bit! hopefully he keeps getting better also!
The food is getting worse and worse.. its so fake!! its kinda nasty!! I'm kinda nervous to eat some of the meat that they cook us because it doesn't look good at all! My District has all been getting sick, but some how I've managed to not! So that's been a blessing! It makes me that much more grateful for my mom and dads cooking! You cant beat their cooking! ha
We are about halfway through with the MTC and I cant wait to get to the field and teach real people! I know it's gonna be super hard and all of my lessons are gonna be terrible, but that's ok.. My Spanish will get better quicker when I'm out there!! ha
Thanks for all of the letters from dearelder and that package you sent me Mom/Dad/boys!! It's great! I love you guys and am praying for you with every personal prayer I have!! Love you tons!!
